Dr. Marion Floyd is originally from Augusta, Georgia, and has wanted to be a veterinarian from an early age. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Davidson College in Davidson, NC, graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015, and began working here at Powhatan Animal Hospital immediately after.
Dr. Floyd and his wife currently have two large mixed breed dogs (Jersey and Otis) and one cat (Stevie Nicks). His professional interests include dentistry, behavior, and exotic pets, and he is fascinated by the human-animal bond and the many unique forms that can take. He is an avid reader of fiction and enjoys playing disc golf, hiking, and any other outdoor activity in which he can bring his pets along for the fun.
